Geelong (The Cats) yesterday won their first premiership in 44 years (last win 1963) with a staggering 119-point thrashing of Port Adelaide at the MCG. The Cats' victory gave Mark Thompson the rare double of having won a premiership as both a coach and captain (Essendon, 1993).

Cats supporters Mick, Mimi & John flew to Melbourne yesterday morning and joined the 100,000 crowd at the MCG. They flew back 9 pm on the same day.  Peter and Miao Miao stayed in Tassie and watched the game on TV. A very happy Saturday.  I think I too will  support the Cats in future. Why? Both Mimi and I have had a nickname, kitten (猫崽).
